Terms & Conditions + Shipping Policy

Ordering 

• All cheeses are hand crafted, weights will vary.

• Orders will be made up as near as possible to requested amounts.

• All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST.

• Website orders can be shipped to New Zealand addresses only.

• Factory clearance items - please note that clearance stock best before dates will be variable, no claims will be accepted due to short shelf life. No additional discount codes apply to clearance stock.

 

Shipping Policy

Please note, shipping fees below have been automatically calculated at check-out to not only include the cheese weights, but also additional packaging weights (i.e. ice packs and chilltainers) and handling fees, so that they are reflective of the full cost of shipping. Weights of all components are approximate and can vary so we've had to allow for this. Please don't be alarmed if the final weight of your order is not indicative of the stated cheese weights.  

South Island Delivery Fees:   

Packages under 3kg = $10.00 delivery fee

Packages between 3kg and 10kg = $15.00 delivery fee

Packages over 10kg = $20.00 delivery fee (orders over 10kg may have to be sent via Big Chill Distributors rather than courier, please see notes regarding 'Bulk orders via Big Chill' below).

North Island Delivery Fees: 

Packages under 3kg = $10.00 delivery fee

Packages between 3kg and 10kg = $20.00 delivery fee

Packages over 10kg = $25.00 delivery fee (orders over 10kg may have to be sent via Big Chill Distributors rather than courier, please see notes regarding 'Bulk orders via Big Chill' below).

Rural Delivery: Rural (RD) deliveries at customers' own risk due an extra day delivery time. We advise having your parcel delivered to a residential address where possible.

Post Office Boxes: Please make sure you provide a physical address as we are unable to deliver to a post office box.

Delivery Time: Please allow 1 - 3 working days delivery time via CourierPost. You are welcome to specify a preferred delivery date in the Order Notes box in the shopping cart if desired.

Orders placed after mid-day on a Thursday, or on a Friday, will be dispatched on the following Monday. This is due non-delivery during weekends and some courier depots not having refrigeration options.

Please allow between 3 – 5 days delivery time for bulk orders sent via Big Chill to one of their depots for pick up. (Please see notes regarding 'Bulk orders via Big Chill' below).

NZPost: We use NZPost to deliver our cheese New Zealand wide. We use non-signature required tickets, unless the cheese is going to a business address. We use non-signature required for home addresses as we would rather your cheese be left at your door rather than going back to the courier depot.

You will be sent an email notification at the time your parcel is picked up from our factory by CourierPost, this email will include parcel tracking information.

Bulk orders via Big Chill: If your order is large it may be considered a bulk order and will need to be sent via chilled freight, Big Chill Distributors, rather than overnight courier.

We will contact you if your order needs to travel via Big Chill, as you will be required collect your order from the nearest Big Chill Depot.

Please expect between 3 – 5 days delivery time for bulk orders. Bulk orders may incur an additional shipping cost; we will contact you to quote additional costs prior to sending your order.

Packaging: We carefully pack cheese orders with insulated CoolWool and gel ice packs to keep it cool. We try to avoid the use of polybins where possible.

Returns: All non-deliveries must be notified to Whitestone Cheese within 72 hours of dispatch from our factory. Parcels that are in circulation for longer than 72 hours are dumped without notification so 

 

Payment Gateway 

We use Shopify Payments to process our payments via a hosted payment page. For your security Whitestone Cheese do not store or collect any credit card information on the whitestonecheese.com website. Visa and Mastercard credit cards are our accepted payment methods.

Refund & Disputes Resolution

At Whitestone Cheese our goal is to provide you superior service and quality handmade products. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase from us, please contact us as soon as possible.

If you need to return an item due to a quality issue or damage during shipment, we need to be contacted by email or telephone within 48 hours of receipt of the product. Please provide our Dispatch Department with such details as product description, date received, package tracking number and the nature of the quality issue or damage. We will be glad to replace or exchange the item, or refund your money. If necessary, we will arrange the return shipping at no cost to you.

Returns for any other reason will need to be returned at the expense of the customer. No refunds will be issued for shipping cost of these returned items. Items not returned in original condition or partial return may not qualify for a full refund.

If an item is returned as a result of an incorrect address provided by you, we can reship the product to the correct address at an additional cost to you. Due to the perishability of our products we are unable to repackage and ship returned items, therefore you will be responsible for the cost of the new product and we will cover the additional shipping.
