Whitestone Cheese Co is a producer of award winning, artisan craft cheeses that is made in Oamaru is distributed throughout New Zealand. We are a New Zealand family owned and operated business that takes pride in rewarding our customers with premium products.

Whitestone Cheese is thrilled to be able to offer the local community a range of full time and part time job opportunities at our Diner & Deli and Cheese Factory.

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join our award winning cheese company, based in Oamaru! Working 35-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. As Marketing Assistant you will be reporting to the Marketing  Manager, with your main focus on brand presence and growth.

Marketing Assistant (full time)

About the role

The Marketing Assistant is a strategic and vital role, responsible for organising and coordinating all web sales and cheese club processes. As well as assisting our Marketing Manager with social media, promotions and administrative duties.

You will be someone who easily engages and has a “can do attitude”. You will have the confidence to build relationships with our clients, and delivering on time. 

The main responsibilities of this role are:

  • Sales, marketing, and administration duties
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers
  • Quotes, invoicing and payments
  • Managing Cheese Club, including packing and sending
  • Create and manage online posts & email sends

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Marketing degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong administration skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Social Media content creation experience 
  • A passion for cheese
